Welcome to the
Healing Corner
Everyone will grieve the loss of a loved one at some point.
If you love, you will grieve.
But you can also heal and experience joy.
Grief and joy coexist.
I found that I felt better when I was writing or journaling. I wrote letters to those I had lost. I wrote letters to God. I wrote poetry. I reflected on the lyrics and music. I kept track of the signs I received.
Being able to journal allowed me to share what I was feeling without feeling like a burden to others, or being a trigger to someone else.
According to the Mayo Clinic, these are the most common symptoms of grief: strong feelings of sadness or sorrow; inability to focus; lack of trust; feelings of loss of purpose or intention in life; consuming thoughts of that which you lost; and denial of your loss.
I believe there can also be glimmers, joy, happiness, and excitement.
